Framing and Structural Work
Once the foundation is complete, the next phase is framing. Framing is when the skeleton of the house begins to take shape. This includes the construction of walls, floors, and the roof system. During this phase, the basic structure of the home is outlined, and you’ll start to see the layout come together. The framing also includes the installation of windows and exterior doors.
At this stage, the exterior of the home will be covered with weather-resistant materials, such as plywood or plastic sheeting, to protect it from the elements while work continues. Framing typically takes about one to two months, depending on the size of the home and the complexity of the design.
